The Illinois Department of Public Health says it is extremely important that Lawrence County residents and others around the area get a flu shot this year. Flu season is coming soon and it will not stop because of the pandemic. Everyone age six months and older should get the flu vaccine. Many of the symptoms of flu and COVID-19 are the same, so it is vital that in addition to a flu shot, people need to continue to wearing a mask, social distance and washing hands frequently. The LCHD has announced it will hold a drive-thru Flu Shot Clinic (for all ages) on Thursday October 1st from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville.
