The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 1,848 new confirmed cases of coronavirus Wednesday across the state with 22 additional deaths. There were no new cases reported Wednesday by the Lawrence County Health Department. The county remains at 251 positive cases with 49 of those active. 200 people have recovered, 2 remain hospitalized and there have been 2 deaths. The Crawford County Health Department is reporting a 2nd COVID-19 death Wednesday. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 279,114 cases of the disease with 8,508 deaths.
