CUBS CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT IN LOSS

Pittsburgh Pirate catcher Jacob Stallings hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 9th inning Tuesday night to give the Buccos a 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs in game two of their four game series at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The Cubs had been blanked until Anthony Rizzo tied the game at 2 with a two run blast in the top of the 8th inning. Despite the loss, the Cubs did clinch a playoff berth. They will now set their sights on the Divisional title. Game 3 of the series is Wednesday night with Kyle Hendricks (6-4) scheduled to pitch for the Cubs against Trevor Williams (1-8) for the Pirates. The game can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO with first pitch at 6:05 p.m. Central Time.
