Ladd Allan Phillips, age 62 of Lawrenceville, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Vincennes, IN at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Terre Haute, IN on August 19, 1958 to Roger and Maxine (Lehor) Phillips.
As a young man, Ladd became active in Special Olympics. He was especially active in bowling. Ladd won many gold medals in bowling and was a member of the state title team. He took a lot of pride in his bowling accomplishments.
Ladd enjoyed the time spent with his father at the Dunseth’s Farm, the many summers working at the lodges in Wyoming, attending church services at New Hope and Bridgeport Free Methodist Church, and listened to his nephew Austin Glover in Southern Gospel Concerts. After Ladd began living at the United Methodist Village- North Campus, he still enjoyed life. He especially enjoyed the church services by Adam Strauser and playing BINGO.
If you had the pleasure of knowing Ladd, you are lucky.
Surviving family includes his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bub Adams of Lawrenceville; two nieces, Kassie Weiss and Chris Glover; one nephew, Ramie Edwards; and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Maxine Phillips, and one brother, Phillip R. Phillips.
A graveside service for Ladd Allan Phillips will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020 in Bluff Cemetery. Cunningham-Young Funeral Home is assisting the family.
