VINCENNES STABBING

One man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a felony count of Attempted Murder (Level 1) in connection with the stabbing of a Vincennes woman. The Vincennes Police Department indicates that officers were dispatched to the reported incident around 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time at 607 Truman Drive in the Presidential Estates area of the city. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered a female subject suffering from stab wounds to the chest. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes for treatment and her condition was not immediately available. Meanwhile a male subject identified as Dakota Haaff barricaded himself inside the residence with several juvenile children. However, officers were able to enter the home and take Haaff into custody. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later charged and taken to the Knox County Jail.
