Nico Hoerner scored from second base on a fielders choice to put the Cubs ahead in a 5 run fifth inning rally at Wrigley Field Thursday night and that propelled them to an 8-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds in a game delayed over an hour by rain. The Reds led 3-0 early behind Sonny Gray but could not hold on. The Cubs scored 8 times on 13 hits with Willson Contreras having four of them. With the win, the Cubs take two of three in the series and are now 26-19 leading the NL Central while the Reds fall to 19-25. The Cubs hit the road Friday as they head north to Milwaukee to face the Brewers in a three game weekend set at Miller Park. The contest can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO with the first pitch at 7:10 p.m. Central Time.
