The veteran kept the Cardinal hitters off balance all day allowing only 1 run on 7 hits and 4 strikeouts to pick up his fifth win of the season. Rookie Johan Oviedo took the loss for the Redbirds. The Cubs improve to 24-18 and still lead the NL Central. They continue their homestand with the first of three against the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday night.
