Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta Rush has approved two judges to preside over Knox County Superior Court 2 until an appointee is named by Governor Eric Holcomb for the late Judge Ryan Johanningsmeier. In a statement, Rush named Sherry Gregg Gilmore and Gara Lee to exercise jurisdiction over court matters until the naming of a Pro Tempore judge pursuant to state statute. The vacancy was created by the death of Johanningsmeier in a plane crash in northeastern Lawrence County last Saturday.
