In an attempt to reduces crashes, injuries, and fatalities during the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend, both the Illinois and Indiana State Police will be participating in the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign. Now through Monday, both agencies will be conducting overtime patrols looking for dangerous and impaired drivers. Those patrols are supported with funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. More than 200 other state and local law enforcement agencies will take part in both states.
