Unemployment rates are continuing to decline steadily across Illinois from June to July. That according to figures released this week by the Department of Employment Security. The jobless rate in Lawrence County in July was at 10.8% down from 8.5% in June. Other surrounding counties also saw declines. Richland County from 9.2% to 7.4%, Crawford County from 9.4% to 7.8%, and Wabash County from 9.8% to 7.7%. Among the reasons for the declines is the gradual reopening of the state economy.
