The Lawrence County Health Department and Lawrence Unit 20 late last week announced the suspension of in-person classroom instruction at Parkside Elementary School in Lawrenceville. The suspension will be for this week-Monday the 24th through Friday the 28th. The decision was made after an increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases identified among staff in the school. The action was taken in an effort to prevent and slow the spread of COVID-19 in the school system and community. Both Parkview and Lawrenceville High School are in session this week. Both the LCHD and Unit 20 say that the situation will be monitored and reassessed as the week progresses at Parkside.
