CHASE AND ARREST IN VINCENNES

An Indianapolis man was charged with several offenses after leading police on a chase through Vincennes. An Indiana State Police trooper was patroling the Vincennes area and pulled over the driver of a 1998 Toyota for an expired registration plate at a gas station near 6th and Executive Blvd. As the trooper approached the vehicle, the driver sped off west on Executive Blvd and then onto various city streets attempting to elude pursuit. The vehicle was finally disabled after hitting a metal pole in an alley near First Street and Eberwine. The driver and a female passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The driver, 23 year old Clinton Meadows of Indianapolis was captured without incident. The female was not located. Meadows was taken to the Knox County Jail and charged with two counts of Resisting Law Enforcement-one with a Vehicle, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Criminal Recklessness and Leaving the Scene of a Crash and was being held on bond.
