This year 87 individuals from around Illinois were recipients of the 4-H Foundation Hall of Fame Awards including a local man. The Foundation Hall of Fame was established in 2005 to honor and celebrate outstanding 4-H alumni, volunteers and former staff. More than 15,000 volunteers fill key leadership and mentoring roles for nearly 200,000 youth annually through camps, clubs, educational programs, workshops and conferences in communities, schools, parks and homes across the state. Congratulations to Kerry Hill From Lawrence County who was among those who were honored in a virtual ceremony this week. He will get a commemorative Hall of Fame medallion as part of being an awardee.
