The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 2,295 new confirmed cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 25 more deaths. There were 2 more cases in Lawrence County with the Health Department notified of a 24 year old female and a 34 year old male both testing positive. They are now in home quarantine with contact tracing being done. With those new cases, that now brings to 68 total for the county with 16 of those active. 52 have recovered with 1 hospitalization and still no deaths. The disease spread continues in the area. Wabash County re-porting 4 new cases and 85 total, Crawford County 3 new cases and 46 total and Edwards County 1 new case and 32 total. Overall the IDPH is reporting 211,889 cases and 7,806 deaths since the pandemic began.
