2 MORE COVID-19 CASES IN LAWRENCE COUNTY

The Illinois Department of Public Health Tuesday announced 1,740 new cases of coronavirus  across the state with 27 more deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department was notified of two residents testing positive-a 24 year old female and a 34 year old male. Both are under quarantine in their homes with contact tracing underway. The two new cases raise the total in the county to 66. 16 of those are active and 52 recovered. There has been 1 hospitalization and no deaths. Other surrounding counties have also seen cases rise. Wabash County had 7 new cases Tuesday to reach a total of 81 with 2 people in the hospital. Crawford County added 2 cases to total 43 Tuesday and Richland County had 1 case to reach 48 total. Overall there have been 209,594 cases of the disease statewide since the pandemic began with 7,782 deaths.
