Yu Darvish was outstanding Thursday night for the Chicago Cubs as he gave up only 1 hit over 7 innings to lead them to a 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field. Darvish had a no-hitter going until Justin Smoak hit a solo home run in the top of the 7th. He finished with 2 walks and 11 strikeouts to improve to 3-1. Kyle Schwarber blasted a solo homer and Ian Happ had 2 hits and an RBI to pace the Cub offense. The Cubs remain hot with their 3rd straight win and 8th in their last 10 games. Their overall record of 13-3 is the best start since 1907. Game two of the series is again under the lights Friday with Tyler Chatwood (2-1) set for the Cubs against Brandon Woodruff (1-1) for the Brewers.
