ANOTHER COVID 19 CASE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,645 new cases of the coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 16 additional deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reported a new case Wednesday. A 55 year old male from the county tested positive and has been quarantined at his residence with contact tracing being done. With the new case, Lawrence County now is at 56 cases–10 of those are active and 46 are recovered. There have been no hospitalizations or deaths. Meanwhile cases continue to rise across southeastern Illinois Wednesday. Neighboring Richland County reported 4 new cases to raise it’s total to 27, Wabash County 2, Jasper County 3 and Crawford, Clay, and Edwards County 1 each. The IDPH now says there have been 198,593 total cases and 7,672 deaths total since the pandemic began.
