55th District State Senator Dale Righter says that funding will be released for capital projects at three area community colleges. The money comes from the Illinois Capital Development Board for Olney Central College, Lincoln Trail College and the Southeastern Illinois College extension center in Carmi. LTC will get $8.3 million for construction of a technology center, OCC $2.3 million for an applied technology center and SEIC $1.6 million for a vocational building at Carmi. All three projects are scheduled to be approved for architecture and engineering by the ICBD in December.
