The Illinois Department of Public Health reports 1,471 new cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 19 additional deaths. There were no new cases in Lawrence County reported. The Health Department now indicates 47 postitive cases with 11 of those active, 36 have recovered and there have been no deaths. Crawford County reported it’s 29 case and Richland County it’s 16th Wednesday. Also the Richland County Health Department has issued a warning of a possible mass exposure to COVID-19 at the Olney Walmart this past weekend. They say that anyone who shopped at the location Saturday August 1st from 7 a.m. until noon may have been infected. Anyone who was at that location during those hours and is experiencing symptoms should contact the Richland County Health Department. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 184,712 cases of the disease with 7,545 deaths in Illinois.
