3 MORE COVID-19 CASES IN LAWRENCE COUNTY

The Illinois Department of Public Health announced there were 1,298 new cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 10 more deaths from the disease. The Lawrence County Health Department was notified Monday of three county residents who tested positive. They are a male child age 3, a male under 20 and a male age 56. Two of the cases are related and all three are currently under quarantine in their homes with contact tracing underway. With those new cases, the LCHD reports 47 cases now locally-15 of those are active and 32 have recovered. There have been no deaths. Other southeastern Illinois counties also reported rises in cases Monday-Wayne County with 5  more to move up to 30, Edwards County with 3 to rise to 17, Wabash County 1 to get to 34, Richland County with 2 more to total 15 and White County with 4. The Illinois Department of Public Health now says there have been 183,241 cases in the state since the pandemic began with 7,526 deaths.
