The Illinois Department of Public Health reports 1,076 new cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 30 additional confirmed deaths. There were no new cases in Lawrence County. The latest updated figures from the Lawrence County Health Department indicates there have been 43 confirmed cases of the disease. 30 of those are active and 13 have recovered. There have been no deaths. Around the area Wayne County reported 2 new cases to total 33, Edwards County had 1 new case for a total now of 12 and Jasper County reported an additional case Tuesday to move to 52 total. Overall since the pandemic began, the IDPH has totaled 173,731 cases and 7446 deaths in all 102 Illinois counties.
