The Illinois Department of Public Health reports 955 new confirmed cases of coronavirus across the state with 23 additional deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reports that an employee at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital did test positive for COVID-19 earlier this week. The employee and others in close contact have been isolated with other employees being closely monitored and tested. Hospital officials say that the individual did not provide direct care to patients. The situation has led hospital CEO Don Robbins to announced the reimposition of restrictions at LCMH to minimize spread of the virus. The LCHD also reported Tuesday that 2 more county residents have tested positive for the disease-a 62 year old male and a 33 year old female. Their cases are not related and both are under home quarantine with contract tracing. With the latest cases, Lawrence County is now at 31 with 24 of those being active and 7 recovered. There have been no deaths.
