The Vincennes Redevelopment Commission has accepted the Gimbel Corner property in downtown Vincennes from the city. The move was made Thursday. The property has been vacant since the 2011 building fire. City officials say that having the commission take over that location will allow for a better chance to have it developed in the future. The commission also discussed the Main Street Phase 2 project with city engineer John Sprague. A decision on the various options  could be forthcoming when the commission continues it’s meeting next Thursday at City Hall.
