Indiana State Police say a Sullivan County woman is in custody charged with attempted murder this week. Authorities report that a shooting occured Monday evening at a gas station location on U.S. 41 south near Carlisle. 59 year old Faran Brown of Carlisle was alledgedly involved in a disputed interaction with 65 year old Susan Brown also of Carlisle when she shot him with a handgun. The gun was recovered in the station parking lot. Faran Brown was taken to a local hospital and is still recovering. Susan Brown was arrested Tuesday by the state police without incident and was being held on $50,000 cash bond in the Sullivan County Jail.
