The Bridgeport City Council has instituted a new employee policy concerning potential COVID-19 infections when on city business trips to other areas. The new policy will involving testing upon return from the trips and time off until results are back. Mayor Michael Craske reported that the  police department had recieved a $15,000 Mary Heath Foundation grant for use in purchasing 3 new in-car cameras. The council did approve continuing with Affordable Gas and Electric of Mt Vernon in the residential municipal electrical aggregation program providing lower residential electric rates to the city. City Superintendent Shannon Selby will seek quotes for the cleaning of the city water tower both inside and outside. Alderman Hal Pargin announced that he will not run for re-election for his council seat after this term expires.
