The Vincennes Board of Works and Safety meeting Monday did approve a quote from Kerns Excavating for around $88,000 for cleanup work at the city collection site caused by recent storms. The Board also approve a new city health insurance policy through the Southern Indiana Health Organization. The move was made after hearing a report that the city health insurance costs will increase in August. Meanwhile the Vincennes City Council  which met afterward did approve on first reading an ordinance that would raise the retirement age for city police and fire personnel from 65 to 70 falling in line with the State of Indiana.
