LAWRENCEVILLE POLICE JULY REPORT

Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White has released his departmental activity report for June. City police recieved 325 requests for an officer during the month. Officers were involved in 20 drug investigations, 6 assault and battery investigations, 5 theft investigations, 4 burglary and shoplifting investigations, 2 cases of vandalism and a stolen vehicle case. The department made 25 misdeameanor arrests, 18 felony arrests and 2 juvenile arrests during the month. There were 7 cases of child abuse and neglect. Lawrenceville police did handle 16 traffic accidents during June-13 of those involved property damage and there were 3 cases of hit and run.  They also assisted the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department  and Illinois State Police 4 times and emergency fire and medical personnel 4 times.
