The Illinois High School Association and Illinois Department of Public Health have modified the Phase 4 Return to Play Guidelines. The move was made due to an increase in positive cases of COVID-19 among high school teams around the state. The new modifications place greater restrictions on coaches and student-athletes. Changes include limiting physical contact, increased use of masks especially indoors, restricting drills versus other schools such as 7 on 7 in football and summer basketball camps. There will also be a 50 person limit including spectators for indoor practices and activities. The full list of modified guidelines is available through both the IHSA and IDPH websites.
