The Lawrence County Coalition for Change is moving forward with it’s goals. The local group held a second public event Sunday afternoon at the Lawrenceville City Park mixing free food with music and messages of hope toward battling racial inequality and injustice throughout the community and the area. Coalition spokeswoman Victoria Shinkle says that they are focusing on voter registration for the upcoming November election and getting anti-racism education taught in local and regional schools.
