ILLINOIS BACK TO SCHOOL FALL PLAN RELEASED

The Illinois State Board of Education has officially released its plan and guidelines for a return to school in the fall. Among the numerous recommendations are teaching staff and students wearing masks and social distancing when possible along with stringent cleaning of school buildings and facilities. State School Superintendent Carmen Ayala indicated that individual school districts including Unit 10 and 20 here in Lawrence County will be able to set up their own plans for getting students back into the classroom. The guidelines cover K through 12 schools and the state’s colleges and universities. They can be viewed in total on the Illinois State Board of Education website.
