flu-virus

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 462 new cases of the coronavirus Monday across the state with 26 more deaths. That brings the total number of cases since the pandemic began to 137,224 and the number of deaths to 6,671. Lawrence County continues with 6 confirmed cases. None are active and 5 have recovered with no deaths. Meanwhile neighboring Crawford County reported another case Monday bringing the county total to 18. In a related note, the Lawrence County Health Department has announced there will be free mobile COVID-19 testing done Wednesday. Tests will be administered from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the former McKims IGA location on State Street in downtown Lawrenceville. No appointment or doctor referral is necessary. A person does not need insurance to be tested but those that do have an insurance card are asked to bring it. Again the testing is completely free.
