Illinois State Librarian and Secretary of State Jesse White has announced the awarding of Fiscal Year 2020 Public Library Per Capita and Equalization Aid grants to 638 public libraries across the state. Per Capita grant funding is authorized under Illinois state law to allow resources to libraries for expenses such as materials, personnel, equipment, electronic access, telecommunications and technology. The Lawrence Public Library in Lawrenceville is to recieve $21,041 in grant money through the grant program
