Authorities in Crawford County say an Indiana man is in custody after leading police on a high speed chase in a stolen vehicle late Monday night. Palestine Police were alerted just before midnight of the theft near the Hucks convienience store. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle which was taken by 42 year old Kristopher Bloom of Columbia City Indiana but he fled at a high rate of speed out of town. Bloom later abandoned the vehicle in a rural area and fled on foot but was later tracked down by aerial drone and a K-9 unit. He was arrested and preliminarily charged with Fleeing in a Stolen Vehicle, Speeding, and Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Police. Other additional charges in the case are pending. The Knox County Indiana Sheriffs Department arrested a wanted Bicknell man after he fled after a traffic stop. Police attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by 32 year old Timothy DeMoura in Bicknell and then pursued him after he failed to stop. DeMoura was eventually captured. He was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Knox County for Failure to Appear. He now faces additional charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Reckless Driving and was being held pending bond in the Knox County Jail.
