Neighboring Crawford County has a new States Attorney. The Crawford County Board late last week appointed Cole Shaner to the position. He replaces Matthew Hartrich whose resignation was accepted by the board. Hartrich resigned to become a judge in the Second Judicial Circuit replacing David Overstreet who was elected to the Fifth District Appellate Court. Hartrich had occupied the States Attorneys office since 2012.
