The Illinois State Police District 12 has released its monthly activity report for May. District 12 does include Lawrence County among others. Troopers answered 188 calls for service during the month and initiated 382 investigations in the field. Enforcement figures totalled 48 citations with 5 for Speeding, 1 for a Seat Belt and 4 for Lack of Child Restraints. There were 8 criminal arrests made. Troopers also investigated 41 traffic crashes with none fatal during May.
