Some bad economic news for Knox County and the city of Vincennes. JC Pennys has announced that its store located in the Vincennes Plaza will be closing in the near future. It is one of eight Indiana closings expected to occur between next week and the middle of October. In a press release, the company blamed both Chapter 11 bankruptcy and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as factors in the closings.
