PEACEFUL PROTEST IN VINCENNES

Vincennes city officials say an estimated 400 people were in attendence at a protest rally late Tuesday afternoon in the downtown area. The protest occured around 5 p.m. Eastern Time on 2nd Street near Main and advanced down Main Street in a show of solidarity after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis Minnesota over a week ago. Both Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum and Police Chief Robert Dunham were on hand and praised those at the protest for keeping things peaceful and respectful.
