Authorities in White County have released more information on the two people who died from gunshots Friday at a Carmi residence. 71 year old Phyllis Daniel of Carmi was found deceased inside a vehicle in the residence’s driveway and 72 year old Charles Daniel also of Carmi was discovered deceased inside the home. They were found by a family member who became concerned when the couple failed to answer their cellphones. Police say that the evidence indicates that Charles Daniel shot his wife while she was inside their car and then went into their home where he then shot himself in an apparent murder-suicide case. Investigation is still ongoing.
