The Lawrence County Board met Wednesday and recieved an update from Lawrence County Health Department Administrator Amy Marley on the local response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Marley said that her department has been extremely proactive in battling the disease and that along the efforts of county citizens has kept the case count low. She also talked about the testing that is now available in the county. People can visit the LCHD website for more information. Judge Robert Hopkins indicated to the board that the 2nd Judicial Circuit is expected to get back to its regular business in June. Approved by the board was a resolution of support for the Greater Wabash Planning Commission, an $1866 courthouse boiler maintenence agreement with J.E. Shekell and the reappointment of Steve Cavender to a 2 year term on the Board of Review. The board did enter into a 10 minute executive session to discuss personnel but emerrged to take no action.
