The Flood Warnings continue by the National Weather Service for both the Embarras River at Lawrenceville and the Wabash River at Vincennes. The Embarras Wednesday morning was at 30.86 feet and rising. It is expected to crest at near 31 feet Friday.Some minor flooding is occuring in the Lawrenceville area. The Wabash at Vincennes Wednesday was at 14.56 feet and rising. The river is still below its 16 foot flood stage. it is now forecast to rise above 16 feet early next week and crest and fall below flood Tuesday. Both rivers are on the rise due to rainfall over the past several days in their upper basins flowing downstream.
