vu-logo-8

The Vincennes University Conservation Law Enforcement program is working on coordinating a natural resources management plan for Robeson Hills in eastern Lawrence County. Robeson Hills is a 545 acre outdoor laboratory and environmental education site near the Wabash River that is managed by the university. 41 students in the program have been assessing the existing natural resources and working to make the area more accessible, more recreational, and more suited for an increase in wildlife and ecosystem sustainability. The students are also working with professionals at the U.S Fish and Wildlife service and both the Illinois and Indiana Department of Natural Resources on the project and are also seeking funding sources for the plan.
