Lawrenceville Police investigated a two vehicle accident Saturday on 9th Street north of Collins Avenue. A 1997 Toyota Hatchback being driven by Jack Hanes of Lawrenceville had it’s gas pedal stick to the floor while traveling on the city street. Hanes veered off the road and struck the rear of a parked 2008 Chevrolet Impala owned by Vonda Wimberly also of Lawrenceville. Hanes was checked by EMS personnel at the scene but refused hospitalization. His vehicle suffered front end damage and was able to be driven from the scene. There were no tickets issued.
