The Illinois Department of Public Health announced that there were 1,980 new cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 50 people dying from the disease. That brings the state total of cases to 45,883 and death totals to 1,983 in 96 counties since the pandemic began. Lawrence County remains at 3 confirmed cases of the disease, Richland County also at 3, Wabash County at 1 and Crawford County at 10.
