The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 2.126 new cases of coronavirus across the state Sunday with 59 more deaths. That brings the total number of cases to 49,003 since the pandemic began with 1,933 deaths. The virus has spread to 96 of the 102 Illinois counties. Lawrence County remains at 3 confirmed cases, Richland County was also at 3, Wabash County 1, and Crawford County 10. There were 42 confirmed cases in Jasper County with a third death caused by the virus-a woman in her 80s.
