109th District State Representative Darren Bailey is among the Illinois House Republican lawmakers in favor of a slow regional opening of the state economy. They say that should occur with such businesses as auto dealerships, state parks, agriculture, and trucking under safe health restrictions. Bailey also says that hospitals should be allowed to resume regular procedures.  He added that the spread of the disease has not been as prevalent across his rural southern Illinois district. State health officials and Governor Pritzger said this week they believe that the  COVID-19 peak will come in the middle of next month-weeks later than originally projected.
