Another post season honor for Jayley Akers of the Lawrenceville Lady Basketball Indians. She was selected to the Champaign-Urbana News Gazzette All-State Girls Basketball team. She was named as Special Mention 50. The 5 foot 7 inch guard led the Lady Indians in scoring this past season at over 18 points per game as they finished 17-13. She left the program as the 2nd all time leading scorer and will continue her basketball career at Indiana University (Kokomo). Two other area players were also selected to the Special Mention 50 team-Anna Blank of Richland County and Sarah Isaf of Paris.
