The Indiana State Department of Public Health reported 55 new deaths Friday from the coronavirus disease. That brings the statewide total up to 300. The 55 deaths were the largest daily total so far. There were 568 new cases of the virus Friday bringing the state total to 6,907. One of those new cases was in Knox County. The Health Department reports it was the 13th so far during the pandemic. The individual has been placed under quarantine in their home and the effort is underway to notify all people who had contact with the infected subject and place them in self-isolation in their homes. The department emphasized that all cases are being monitored during the quarantine period.
