The University of Southern Indiana announced that former Eagle Stan Gourard has been named as the head coach of the basketball Screaming Eagles. Gourard was a member of the USI 1995 NCAA Division II championship team and was a two time Division II player of the year. He comes to Evansville after spending the last 12 years as head coach of the Indianapolis Greyhounds of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. He guided that program to six 20 win seasons and seven NCAA Midwest Regional appearances. He takes over for the retired Rodney Watson.
