STABBING SUSPECT ARRESTED

The man wanted in connection with a double stabbing  in Grayville earlier this week has been taken into custody. The White County Sheriffs Department recieved a report Friday of the sighting of a man matching the description of Sanjay Lewis wanted for questioning in the incident. He was spotted walking along Interstate 64 near a wooded area near Grayville. Police responded to the scene and Lewis fled into the nearby woods. Authorities set up a perimeter around the woods and Lewis was later arrested without incident. He was taken to the White County Jail in Carmi and was being held there on a charge of Aggravated Battery with a $10,000 cash bond.
