KNOX COUNTY DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY

The Knox County Indiana Commissioners Wednesday declared a state of emergency. The proclamation was made a a press conference at the county courthouse in Vincennes. Commissioners President Kellie Streeter says it gives the Knox County government extra powers and instructs all citizens to cooperate with public disaster services and obey the direction of public safety officers. It will also allow the county to get additional state and federal resources to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. It was also announced the admittance to the Knox County Courthouse will be limited to one main door and all visitors will be screened with regard to their health and business at the courthouse starting on Friday.
